So, in reading up on Haiku, I found out that they are traditionally based on one of the seasons, and when translated they are shorter than the traditional 5-7-5 syllable English Haiku.  When I write (what I thought was) Haiku, my subjects are not the seasons.  What I write better resembles Senryu, but only in syllable count and theme.  I thought this one up to comment on my changing, yet chronically static sleeping situation.

My Twin

My mattress sleeps one.
We don't sleep comfortably,
Now I sleep alone.

I should really be asleep now.

Rough road ahead

The narrow path is just that.  It is thin and difficult to travel.  It has the greatest reward at the end, though.

Why did God make girls so soft?

I want to take the narrow path.  Pray that I will.  Thanks.

Hematidrosis by With Blood Comes Cleansing

As mortal death was at the door, the night seemed darker than before.
Silence but no peace, visions of agony.
The sweat and blood pour out, hemorrhaging from the pores of His body.
Rise up, the betrayer is at hand.
The Son of Man betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Innocent blood will be shed by the hands of the guilty.
